Sue previously helped other business owners increase productivity to improve their business but loves being in business so much she’s just getting in and doing it herself in Tascott NSW.
She started during Covid Lock Downs which was challenging, but loves bringing locals together at her cafe by preparing food and drinks for the occasion – this time it’s St Patricks Day.
With a passion for combining the right food and drinks for any event Sue loves providing Cocktail and Food events for clients in their own home too.
Here are some interesting things we learnt about Sue’s cafe from a technology perspective.
POS System – Square
Sue uses Square as her POS system because it simple and intuitive.
Accounting Software – Xero
Square connects with Xero which manages every other aspect of her accounting and finance.

Email Marketing – Mailchimp
Sue rallies her followers using MailChimp. On her website you can see it clearly where she invites locals to join her list. If you’re new to website design, the Mailchimp form is embedded at the bottom of that page.
Embedding means that instead of putting words and images on a page you “copy and paste” code into the page and it loads a lead capture form from Mailchimp.

Brian Spina uses Xero too
Brian Spina from Spina Roasters in Morisset also uses Xero to managing his financial affairs. His business is focussed on roasting the best beans in the Central Coast to Newcastle and helping small cafe’s by providing low cost coffee machine rentals and supplying his beans.
When you look at the way these local cafe owners work you see the human face of small business and how they need to manage every aspect of their business, from
- startup,
- marketing,
- sales,
